Gift from SP9

Yesterday I got my final gift from my SP. It is great!!! There was a book from my wish list "Victorian Lace Today" with very beautiful shawls . On the first page of this book was the author's personal autograph for me. SP, what a great idea! So there was a soft lace yarn (merino50% and silk50%), knitting markers, funny magnet, dark chocolate and knitter's nail file. The natural rose soap (not on a picture) and rose hand butter were also in this parcel. I like them very much. The "snowman" kerchief was for Clooney. Thank you SP, I really enjoy my package!

Gift from my Secret Pal 9



Yesterday I got a gift from my SP9. It came from USA, NH and it is wonderful. There was one really soft pink 100% Suri Alpaca yarn, Arrow lace scarf pattern, notepapers and candies. The ball of yarn is quite small but there is over 200 yards and its my favorite. Thank you my Secret Pal, you are great! Posted by Picasa

SP 9 questionnaire

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I like mostly natural yarns like wool, merino, alpaca, silk, cashmere. Some effectyarns are great too. I do not like sockyarn and 100% acrylic yarn.
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I have specialised box made by myself for straight needles.
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I have been knitting since my schooldays. My skill level is intermediate, I think.
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
Yes I have, it's here.
5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)
Fruits and sweet or fresh.
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Yes I have. I like different kind of candies, mostly chocolate. I'd like to taste some national sweet :) .
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I do not spin but I like bobbin lace, crocheting, sewing, embroidery.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
My computer can play MP3 but I do not listen music much. Mostly I listen radio. I do not have eny favorite music stile.
9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
I like pink in different variations, its my favorite. I don't stand orange, yellow, red and teal.
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I have I partner, also dog, cat and rabbit.
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
Yes
12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
I do not have my favorite item. I like all things I knit.
13. What are you knitting right now?
Kardigan
14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Not now.
15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Mostly circular and bamboo.
16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
No
17. How old is your oldest UFO?
About 8 months.
18. What is your favorite holiday?
My birthday and Christmas ofcourse.
19. Is there anything that you collect?
Craft books and bobbin lace patterns.
20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
I would love to get special cashmerino-silk yar for the shawl. I have Novita magazine subscription.
21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
Yarn dyeing.
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Yes, sometimes in autumn and winter. My foot is 39 ( Eur. size).

Gift from my SP8



Today I got my last gift from my SP8. The best in this parcel was a handmade shawl because it is so soft and its colour is pink :) Also there was one additional yarn, the same as was used in shawl. And the waffles tasted so good. Thank you my Secret Pal!

SP Gift

Last week I got a gift from my Secret Pal. This parcel came from Germany. There were some interesting goods like rose soeap and sportyarn. Sweets were too. But the best was the Rebecca magazine with designs for home decoration.
